Long Pond, Pa (22 August 2015) – Justin Wilson is back in oval action this weekend at Pocono Raceway, set to race the No. 25 Andretti Autosport Honda-Dallara in Sunday’s ABC Supply 500 (NBCSN broadcast at 2:00 PM ET).
The 500-mile marathon on the two-mile track is the penultimate race on the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series calendar as Wilson looks to finish his season on a high note for Andretti Autosport.
That effort got off to a good start on Saturday as Wilson locked in seventh on the grid with an average speed of 219.685 mph on his two flying laps in the Andretti machine.
The result will see Wilson start between two of his Andretti Autosport teammates, with Carlos Munoz a fellow third-row starter in sixth while Ryan Hunter-Reay set to take the green from eighth on the grid with the DHL machine.
“I am definitely looking forward to the race tomorrow,” said Wilson, who finished the most recent IndyCar race in second. “I’ve got to thank Andretti Autosport and Honda; the car is working really well here. I’m really pleased with it. Hopefully we can keep making a couple more tweaks and get even better for this evening’s practice, and do some race running. I think it will be a good race.”
